Fisher Adoption Fundraiser

img_6072My husband and I are close friends with a couple who are working towards adopting a child. We’re so thrilled for them and are excited to watch the process and learning from them because we are also interested in adopting at some point. They are currently raising funds to adopt domestically, which is still amazingly expensive, and I wanted to try to help them out in a small way.

So! I am holding a fundraiser for them throughout the month of November. I have a ton of original art that has just been gathering dust in the studio because I don’t quite know what to do with it and I can’t throw it away because it is special for one reason or another. I will be selling each piece in November and all proceeds minus shipping will go straight to our friend’s adoption.

To read more of Megan and Jeremy’s story and follow along with their adoption, you can visit Megan’s website.

Here’s how it will work:

Every day in November I will post a painting/drawing or a group of pieces with suggested minimum donation prices on Instagram and Facebook.

The first person to comment (on either social media) with their donation amount and paypal email will claim the piece.

I will let the person know how much shipping will be to their address and the total amount will be paid to me via Paypal.

If you don’t have Paypal, we’ll work out another way for payment.

This is an awesome time for you to pick up some original pieces of art as holiday gifts or for your own gallery walls or art journals. Some of the smaller drawings and things would be really fun as mail or for art journaling.

I’m really excited about seeing how you choose to get involved in this couple and their future child’s story. What a cool thing to be involved in helping to provide a potential orphan a sweet family. There’s not a whole lot of things better than that.

As always, thanks for reading! And thanks in advance for your generosity.
